Outside Mortgage Loan Originator

(Goshen Branch)

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to procure new mortgage transactions for the bank.  The Originator’s primary responsibility is to bring new loan business into the banks and participate in related business development activities. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs work primarily outside of the bank meeting with prospective customers.
  • Solicits residential mortgages through contacts with realtors, builders, and developers.
  • Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their needs, desires, and earning to assist in determining whether the loan will be an acceptable risk.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions of loan with mortgagors.
  • Keeps informed of trends and developments in the local real estate, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
  • Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
  •  

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience.  Two –three years mortgage origination experience necessary.  Must have knowledge of FHA lending and general lending experience/general understanding of the mortgage process.  Employee must also possess sales and communication skills as well as strong mathematical/analytical skills.

 Loan Processor II

(Goshen Branch)

Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide back office support to benefit external and internal clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process commercial new loan and renewals by inputting accurately onto host and processing all appropriate commercial paperwork including documents to perfect financial institution’s collateral position
  • Provide support to all clients regarding customer service issues, billing concerns or other account questions
  • Perform accurately related duties, not limited to, but including: HMDA reporting and tracking
  • Maintain accurate records of receipt of insurance information and escrow accounting
  • Monitor and clear technical exceptions
  • Prepare and submit loan declines/withdrawns for all loan types
  • Process accurately all closed loans
  • Other duties as apparent or assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in math and possess strong analytical skills.  Strong communication and research skills are also required.  Must be able to work independently and diligently to identify the source, cause, and remediation of potential issues.  Must be proficient with computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.

Commercial Credit Analyst

(Goshen Branch)

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to identify and summarize potential risk(s) of investment in commercial lending activities to the bank’s capital and resources, and to provide back office support to the benefit of overall asset quality and credit administration.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Includes the following, but other duties may be assigned:

  • Analyze financial statements and project details to identify points of risk.
  • Analyze the current, historical and projected financial condition and repayment capacity of the bank’s largest and most complex borrowers.
  • Prepare clear, substantive, credit reports with analyst’s comments for the loan committee and senior management in conformity with bank policies and procedures.
  • Assist lender and CLO in the loan analysis and loan structuring, and the inquiry and gathering of credit history on new and existing borrowers.
  • Prepare credit memorandum to summarize investment structure with financial and risk analysis findings
  • Provide support to lenders in managing their portfolios
  • Provide support to Sr. Credit Quality Officer in monitoring and oversight of asset quality
  • Maintain accurate records of receipt of financial information

Qualification and Skills

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED Equivalent, some college preferred.  The candidate must be proficient in math and possess strong analytical skills.  Candidate must possess strong communication and research skills, and must also be proficient with computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.  3-5 years banking experience in Lending preferred.

Mortgage Loan Processor II

(Goshen Branch)

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide back office support to benefit external and internal clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying mortgage application packets are complete and in good order.
  • Preparing accurate Good Faith Estimates and other initial disclosures to be mailed to customer.
  • Review title commitments to identify potential risks.
  • Maintain and review records of receipt of supporting documentation required for loan closing.
  • Provide support to all clients regarding customer service issues, concerns or other account questions.
  • Other duties as apparent or assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in math and possess strong analytical skills.  Strong communication and research skills are also required.  Must be able to work independently and diligently to identify the source, cause, and remediation of potential issues.  Must be proficient with computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
